Who We Are

The Primary Health Care Institute (PHCI) is the dedicated
educational arm of Primary Health Care medical centres.

Our aim is to foster an environment of continual learning and development that results in better care for Primary Health Care patients.

Established in 2014 to oversee and support Primary Health Care’s aim of providing accessible health care to all Australians, the Institute is dedicated to educating and training the medical professionals and students that are part of the Primary Health Care community.

Under the leadership of Mark Priddle, The PHCI comprises a team of experienced specialists in the development and delivery of education and training across a wide range of clinical and health management topics.

What We Do

At the Primary Health Care Institute it’s our goal to introduce the younger generation of GPs and health professionals to an outstanding career in general practice. To achieve this we focus on three key areas:

  1. Sourcing, coordination, development and implementation of industry leading CPD for doctors and medical professionals.
  2. Working with universities and higher education providers to offer the next generation of medical professionals learning resources and practical experience.
  3. Managing the education of general practice registrars to ensure that registrars within Primary Health Care are exposed to best practice supervision, a wide range of patients and best practice in learning.
